🎨 Adobe Brings All 70 of its Creative Tools into ChatGPT Through One Unified Plugin
Adobe launched a comprehensive ChatGPT plugin that combines tools from over 70 of its creative and productivity apps, including Photoshop, Premiere, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, and Express, into one interface.
What's new:
- Available now, start a new ChatGPT chat, type @Adobe, and select Adobe from the menu
- Access as a guest or with full Adobe account login
- Builds on three separate ChatGPT apps Adobe released in December for Photoshop, Express, and Acrobat Pro
- Includes direct access to Firefly, Adobe's copyright-safe AI image service built on public domain and Adobe-owned stock images
- Adobe already integrated across ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot, with Slack and Gemini coming soon
What you can do:
- Batch process photos by typing desired look, tweaking lighting and color, adding or removing elements, resizing or expanding images
- Reformat horizontal videos into vertical format for YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels
- Search Creative Cloud asset libraries using loose descriptions like style or mood
- Further edit output directly in Adobe apps after generating in ChatGPT
Company context:
- Adobe shares dropped from $661 in 2021 to as low as $202 in June after CFO departure and AI disruption fears
- CEO Shantanu Narayen announced plans to step down once a replacement is found
- Company shifting to freemium model similar to competitors
- Adobe has been one of the highest-profile targets of vibe coding tools that many believed could duplicate its software
Why it matters:
Adobe putting its entire creative suite inside ChatGPT is less about adding a feature and more about survival - the company that built its business on software subscriptions is now embedding itself inside the AI tools that threatened to replace it.
Making Photoshop-level editing accessible through a chat prompt rather than years of training is exactly what Jensen Huang predicted would happen, and Adobe is smart enough to be the one who makes it happen rather than watch someone else do it first.

🗺️ Google Maps Now Orders Your Food, Shows Live Transit Delays, and Remembers Your Plans
Google updated Ask Maps with agentic food ordering, real-time transit information, Personal Intelligence that connects to Gmail, and the ability to remember past conversations.
What's new:
- Rolling out in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, and over 150 countries in English
- Food ordering now live in the US with Square and Toast, Uber Eats coming soon
- Hotel and local event discovery with real-time price comparison and availability checks
- Real-time transit widget shows live delays for bus, train, subway, and ferry updated minute by minute
- Personal Intelligence connects Ask Maps to Gmail to factor in upcoming flights and dinner reservations automatically (off by default, opt-in)
- Ask Maps remembers past conversations so you can pick up where you left off
- Suggest edits and share tips conversationally, upload storefront photo and Maps detects new hours from image
What you can do:
- Ask Maps to "order spicy pad kee mao with seafood for me to pick up on my way home" - it finds open restaurants along your route and adds the dish to your cart
- Ask for a hotel near a conference with specific vibe, walking distance to gym and restaurants; Maps compares real-time prices and availability
- Ask "Give me ideas on how to spend a few hours near the hotel before my flight tomorrow" and get suggestions based on your Gmail hotel reservation
- Ask "Is there a ferry to get to Taronga Zoo with views of the Opera House?" and see a real-time departure board with live delay updates
- Share insider tips like "more parking is available behind the building," and Maps surfaces it to others
Why it matters:
Google is turning Maps from a navigation tool into an assistant that handles the entire logistics chain around where you're going - not just how to get there.
The Gmail connection is the piece that makes this genuinely different from competitors: Maps already knowing your plans before you explain them removes the friction that makes every other AI travel assistant feel like extra work rather than less.

🎓 OpenAI Launches 3 ChatGPT Plugins for Teachers and Students

- Creates differentiated resources, interactive visuals, and actionable classroom insights

College Educator plugin:
- Updates syllabi, creates interactive websites and multimedia assessments
- Adapts materials for diverse learners and packages content for learning management systems
- Works across teaching, research, and everyday tasks with connected calendars and documents
College Student plugin:
- Guided tutor that works with your own course materials
- Creates study guides, quizzes, flashcards, and interactive visual explanations
- Draws on learning science to build stronger study habits and deeper understanding
Expanding access:
- OpenAI Student Collective: new student-led community, applications open for Campus Leads
- Partnership with Handshake connects student AI skills to internships and early-career opportunities
- OpenAI Academy bringing free in-person workshops to 1,600 K-12 teachers across eight US cities in partnership with Walton Family Foundation
- ChatGPT for Academic Researchers gives eligible researchers 12 months of free Pro-level access
- Estonia deployment reaches 20,000 students and 4,600 teachers alongside longitudinal research
Why it matters:
OpenAI data shows college-age users leverage ChatGPT roughly 90-99% less than power users, which means most students are barely scratching the surface of what the tool can actually do for their learning.
These plugins close that gap by removing the need to figure out how to prompt the AI correctly and instead giving students and teachers pre-built workflows that connect to the materials they already have, which is a more honest approach to AI in education than simply giving students access and hoping they figure it out.
